Panchtatva or Five elements of body - Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Sky Chakra - चक्रं, Cakka, Chakram Seven Chakras - Muladhara, Swadhisthana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddha, Ajna, Sahasrara Chakras its Sanskrit word which denotes the wheel a revolving circular path where all of power and energy stored. In human bodies there are seven major chakras parallel to spine and vertically aligned, where all the chakras have their own specific qualities and assertions. We can also control, balance or heal this seven chakras by practices and some other methods if we follow that particular method. In human body there are seven 'chakras' names are as written below- 1. Seven Chakras in Human Body:

 

1) Muladhara (Sanskrit: मूलाधार, Mūlādhāra)

Muladhara is one of the seven primary chakras according to Hindu tantrism.

It may be represented by the color red, although its root square form is usually yellow and it is associated with earth.

Muladhara chakra or root chakara is shown as having four lotus petals, bearing the sanskrit letters va, scha, sha, and sa. the seed sound in the center of muladhara is lam. The tattwa for the element of earth is shown (here in outline) as a yellow square.


 

First Chakra  - Muladhara - The base root Chakra

(Sanskrit: मूलाधार, Mūlādhāra, Thai: มูลาธาระ) Base or Root Chakra (last bone in spinal cord, the coccyx) 

Other names - Root, base muladhara, Kundalini (Sanskrit) 

Muladhara meaning - Muladhara means are support, base, root...

Symbolized by  - Lotus with four petals  

Color - Red

Element - Earth, Prithvi, Prthvi and Prithivi

Element earth physical qualities - We can touch as well as smell 

Verbs associated with muladhara -  I have

Two types of earth  -  First is eternal or nitya (Which is the form of permanu or atom) and second is perishable (anitya) which is the form of karya or work.

Area of conciousness - Physical body 

Muladhara is related to - Instinct, security, survival, and also to basic human potential.

Earth and its significance -  Earth is also known as dhara, dharini, dhra, dhrithri, bhumi, bhudevi which means holds every things. it have a quality patience and forbearance whichever it is known as dhara.

Goddess earth or Mother Earth - Earth holds the quality patience and forbearance that signifies the quality of mother and she is also one of the wives of  lord Vishnu except Goddess Lakshmi. 

Element earth contrast - The element earth is contrast of the aether, Dyaus Pita or father sky.

Muldhara or root base location - Muldharas center point is based on the base of the spine and coccyges region.   

Earth Astrological personalities - It is represents the characteristics of earth as calm, peace, brave, hardworking, smart, wise, stable and patience, however they are also stubborn, possessive, nearsighted and too much harsh.

Addressed to duality - Earth is frequently address to duality means state of two parts. example the conflict between good and evil or positive or negative.

Emotional issues related to Muladhara - The muladhara  is situated at the base of spine so that its related to fundamental needs or survival issues like food, money and financial accommodation.

Yoga or exercise to heal Muladhara - Brige Yoga or setu bandhasana and kundlini yaga both are very useful to balance base root chakara.

Food that heal Muladhara - color of this chakras is red so

1. When we use red colored fruits like red color apple and beets it would be beneficial and also heal the energy of the root chakras.

2. Hot spices like red peppers and red tomato sauce. 

3. Vegetables which are grounded like potatoes and carrots.

4. In non-vegetables red meat and eggs and also proteins.

Red color and its significance -  Red symbolized the life, vitality, strengths, courage and physical nature of the human. 

Root chakra Gemstones (Red Stones) - Ruby, coral, garnet, red jasper, blood stone, red quartz these stones are very beneficial to heal the muladhara or root base chakra.

Muladhara or root base chakara activities -  Muladhara chakara is based on the fight and flight activities when survivals are under threat.

Note : Earth is primarily dry and secondarily cold.

2 ) Swadhisthana (Sanskrit: स्वाधिष्ठान, Svādhishāna)

Swadhisthana is one of the second primary chakra according to Hindu tantrism. 

It may be represented by the color orange, although it also contains silver moon shape and it is associated with water.

Swadhisthana chakra is shown as having six lotus petals, bearing the sanskrit letters ba, bha, ma, ya, ra and la. The seed sound in the center of swadhisthan is vam. The tattwa for the element of water (here in moon shape) is shown as a silver crescent. 

 

Second Chakra  -  Swadhisthana  - The sacral Chakra

(Sanskrit:  स्वाधिष्ठान, Svādhiṣṭhāna, Thai: สฺวาธิษฺฐานะ) Sacral Chakra (ovaries/prostate) 

Other names - Sacral, One's own abode, Swdhisthana, (Sanskrit) 

Swadhisthana meaning - Swadhisthana means are scared home, one’s own abode

Symbolized by - Lotus with six petals and silver crescent  

Color - Orange

Swadhisthana chakra element - Water, Jal

Area of conciousness of swadhisthana chakra- Emotions 

Swadhisthana is related to - Realationships, voilence, addiction, basic, emotional needs, sexuality, and pleasure.

Water and its significance – Element water consists the shape circle so it consist the huge energy within it and tend to the qualities emotions, deep nurturing, sympathy, empathy, imagination and intuition. They are also some times shows the quality cold, moody, jealous, sentimental, sensitive, escapist and irrational.

God water and Moon-shukra - Water is also known as jal and ap is hindu Sanskrit term for water, it is also associated with moon and shukra who represent the quality emotions, feelings, intuition, dreaming, secretion, imagination and creativity. 

Element water contrast - The element water is contrast of the fire.

Water astrological personalities - It is represents the characteristics of water as emotional, deep nurtured, sympathetic, empathetic, and imaginative and intuitive. They are also some times shows the quality cold, moody, jealous, sentimental, sensitive, escapist and irrational.

Yoga or exercise to heal Muladhara - Cobra Yoga or bhujangasanas and kundlini yaga for balancing the energy of swadhisthana, include vejoli mudra or verjoli pose (contraction of the genitals), asvini mudra or or pose (contraction of the anus) and various asanas and pranayamas.

Food that heal Swadhisthana - color of this chakras is orange so

1. When we use orange colored fruits like orange and tangerine it would be beneficial and also heal the energy of the swadhisthana chakras.

2. Nuts (any variety of nuts) 

Orange color and its significance – Orange is the power color. It also simulates the enthusiasms and creativity. It also symbolized the vitality, sincere, endurance.

Swadhisthana chakra Gemstones (Red Stones) – Coral, Carnelian, Orange Calcite, Tigers Eye, Moonstone, Orange Jasper is beneficial for balancing the swadhisthana chakras.

Swadhisthana or sacral chakara activities - Swadhisthana chakara is basically flows the emotions and feelings and activities associated with it is sense of tastes and reproduction actions.

Manipura (Sanskrit: मणिपूर, Maṇipūra) 

Manipura is one of the third primary chakra according to Hindu tantrism.

It may be represented by the color yellow, although it also contains red triangle shape and it is associated with fire.

Manipura chakra is shown as having 10 lotus petals, bearing the sanskrit letters dda, ddha, nna, ta, tha and la. The seed sound in the center of manipura is Ram. The tattwa for the element of fire (here in triangle shape) is shown in red triangle. 

 

3rd Chakra 

 

Third Chakra  -  Manipura  - The solar plexus Chakra 

Manipura (Sanskrit: मणिपूर, Maṇipūra, Thai: มณีปูระ) Solar Plexus Chakra (navel area)

Manipura meaning - ‘Mani refers for jewels and pura reflects the word city’ both reflect the meaning city of jewels. Manipura means city of jewels or city of shining petals.

Other names – Solar plexus chakra, city of jewels.

Manipura chakra is related to - Will power, self-worth, self-esteem, energy, achievement.

Fire and its significance – Element fire don’t have any shape. While it consists the good leading qualities also tend to be enthusiasm, extroverted, rebellious, passionate, brave, and valiant; however they also be hot tempered, snappy, uncontrollable, and angry.

God fire and Sun - Fire is also known as Agni. Agni is hindu Sanskrit term for fire, it is also associated with sun. It represents the quality of will power and achievements.

Element water contrast - The element fire is contrast of the air.

Manipura or solar plexus location - Manipura chakra located at the spine directly behind or either the navel or solar plexus depends on the system while its super activation points is directly on the navel.

Fire astrological personalities - It is represents the characteristics of fire as enthusiasm, extroverted, rebellious, passionate, brave, and valiant; however they also be hot tempered, snappy, uncontrollable, and angry.

Addressed to duality - Fire is also address to duality means state of two parts. Example - the conflict between saves and destroys.

Yoga or exercise to heal Manipura – Bow pose or Dhanurasnas and kundlini yaga for balancing the energy of manipura, include uddiyana bandha (exhaling and pulling back and up of the abdomen and diaphragm respectively), agnisara kriya (jalandhara bandha, and moving the abdomen in and out),as well as nauli (stomach churning), and various asanas and pranayamas.

Food that heal Manipura Chakra - color of this chakras is yellow so

1. When we use yellow colored fruits like papaya and yellow mango it would be beneficial and also heal the energy of the manipura chakras.

2. Yellow colored corn

3. Grains and fibers like granola, wheat.

4. Teas (peppermint and chamomile)

 

Yellow color and its significance – Yellow demines the words pure, bright. Yellow signifies the qualities intellectual energy, happiness, joy.

Anahata (Sanskrit: अनाहत, Anāhata) 

Anahata is one of the fourth primary chakra according to Hindu tantrism.

It may be represented by the color green, although it also contains two green triangle shapes intersecting with each other and making a hexagram and it is associated with air.

Anahata chakra is shown as having 12 lotus petals within this petals two green triangle shapes intersecting with each other and making a hexagram and 12 petals bearing the sanskrit letters kam, kham, gam, gham, ngam, cham,chham, jam, jham, nyam, tam, and tham. The seed sound in the center of anahat is yam. The tattwa for the element of air (here in shatkona shape) is shown in hexagram. 

 

4th Chakra

Fourth Chakra  - Anahata - The heart Chakra

Anahata (Sanskrit: अनाहत, Anāhata, Thai: อนาหะตะ) Heart Chakra (heart area) 

Other names – Heart chakra, unbeaten, untouch.

Anahata meaning - The Sanskrit word anahata signifies the meaning unbeaten, unhurt, and un struck.

Anahata chakra symbolized by - Lotus with 12 petals and green shaped shatkona consists at middle  

Anahata chakra color - Green

- Air, Vayu.

Element air physical qualities - We feel as well as touch

Two types of characteristics of air – Air is the fourth element which also hold two characteristic as earth first is eternal or nitya (Which is the form of permanu or atom) and second is perishable (anitya) which is the form of karya or work like divine love.

Area of conciousness of anahata chakra- Unbounded love, unbeaten love

Anahata chakra is related to - Decision making followed by heart and wish making tree.

Air and its significance – Element air is often seen in universe in its purest form so it is supposed to be basic and fundamental element in life and we can described it through the words aspire, inspire, perspire, and spirit.

God air and spirit - Air is also known as vayu. Vayu is hindu Sanskrit term for air, it is also associated with spirit. It represents the divinity and spirituality.

Element water contrast - The element air is contrast of the fire.

Anahata or heart chakra location – The Anahata chakra is positioned in the central channel behind the spine at the heart region, with its superficial activation site actually in the heart region between the two breasts.

Yoga or exercise to heal anahata – Bikram yoga, ustrasana or camel pose and kundlini yaga for balancing the energy of anahata, including various asanas and pranayamas, and practices of a japa japa ( the practice of japa without the mental effort normally needed to repeat mantra). It is purified through the process of bhakti (devotion).

Food that heal anahata Chakra - color of this chakras is green so

1. When we use green colored fruits like grapes and blue berries it would be beneficial and also heal the energy of the anahata chakras.

2. Green tea

3. Green foods like spinach and green vegetables.

Green color and its significance – Green it’s a color of nature, life, fertility and prosperity. Green symbolizes self respect and well being. It also means balance, learning, harmony, growth and changes.

Anahata chakra Gemstones (Green Stones) – Emarald, Green jade, kunzite, rodonite, green tourmaline, malachite, green aventurine are beneficial for balancing the manipura chakra.

Anahata or heart chakara activities - Anahata chakara is basically known as for unbounded love, unbeaten love, inner peace, decision making followed by heart.

Vishuddha meaning – Vishuddha means extremely pure it’s a purification center.

Symbolized by - Lotus with sixteen petals and downward triangle consisting full moon within it.

Color - Blue

Vishuddha chakra element - ether or sky

Element aether physical qualities –  we listen it

Verbs associated with Vishuddha - I speak

Area of conciousness of vishuddha chakra – throat

Vishuddha is related to -  Sound, chanting, consciousness.

Aether and its significance – Element aeather fills the area of universe. In Aristotle system aether had no qualities like (water, air, earth, fire) hot, cold and dry wet...etc.

God sky and Moon – Sky is also known as father sky as it gives the open shadow to all of the human beings as earth gives the open home to all the human beings. The throat chakra associated with moon so have the qualities coolness and peaceful chanting sound.

Element aether contrast - The element aeather is contrast of earth.

Vishuddha or throat chakra location - Vishuddha is positioned at the neck region near the spine, with its superficial activation point in the pit of the throat.   

Aether astrological personalities - It is represents the characteristics of blue sky as good thought, communication skills, respect, contentment, offense, self-control, pride, affection, sorrow, depression, purity, dissatisfaction, honor and anxiety.

Addressed to duality – No changes occurred.

Yoga or exercise to heal Muladhara – Kundlini yoga, shirshasanas are including various asanas and pranayamas also balancing the energy of vishuddha chakra. Jalandhara Bandha (throat lock), and Khecarī mudrā are also good for balancing the throat chakra. This chakra can be purified and opened by meditation, chanting and also by practicing singing or playing instrumental music.

Food that heal Muladhara - color of this chakras is blue so

1. When we use blue colored fruits like blue grapes and blue berry it would be beneficial and also heal the energy of the vishuddha chakras.

2. Juice and teas. 

Blue color and its significance - Blue color is cool color and color of sky. It have the qualities inspiration, sincerity, spirituality, calm and peace.

Vishuddha chakra Gemstones (Blue Stones) - Blue sapphire and blue topaz.

Vishuddha or throat chakara activities – Vishuddha chakara is based hearing and listening activities.

Note : don’t have any qualities like cold, hot …etc.

Ajna (Sanskrit: आज्ञा, Ājñā)

Ajna is one of the sixth primary chakras according to Hindu tantrism.

It may be represented by the color white, although its inner area color is indigo and it is associated with command and senses.

Ajan chakra or third eye chakara is shown as having two lotus petals, bearing the sanskrit letters ham, and ksham. The seed sound in the center of ajna is Aum or pranav om. There is no tattwa for the element in this chakra. 

 

6th Chakra, Brow Chakra, Third Eye Center

 

Sixth Chakra  - Ajna  - The third eye Chakra 

Ajna (Sanskrit: आज्ञा, Ājñā, Thai: อาชฺญา) Brow or Third Eye Chakra (pineal gland or third eye) 

Other names – Third eye chakra, minds eye, ajita-patra, ajna pura, ajna puri

Ajna meaning - , command and summoning   

Symbolized by - Lotus with two petals inner part consists pericarp consisting downward triangle with moon and lingum.

Color - Indigo

Element – No element associated within it

Verbs associated with ajna - I see

Area of consciousness - Middle are of eyebrows and sensitivity

Ajna is related to - Command, sensitivity, dreaming, spiritual energy, gurus with disciples, allowing mind communication to occur between two people.

Muldhara or root base location – Ajna chakra center point is based on the base of the brain, directly behind the eyebrow centre, while its superficial activation site is at the eyebrow region, in the position of the 'third eye'.   

Yoga or exercise to heal Ajna Chakra - In kundalini yoga, different practices are said to stimulate the Ajna chakra, including Trataka (steady gazing), Shambhavi Mudra (gazing at the space between the eyebrows), and some forms of Pranayama (breath exercises).

Food that heal Muladhara - color of this chakras is indigo or dark blue so

1. When we use blue colored fruits like blue berry it would be beneficial and also heal the energy of the third chakras.

2. Chocolates. 

3. Lavender flavored spices.

4. Lavender flavored tea.

Indigo color and its significance - Indigo symbolizes a mystical borderland of wisdom, self-mastery and spiritual realization. While blue is the color of communication with others, indigo turns the blue inward, to increase personal thought, profound insights, and instant understandings. Indigo is almost instantaneous. Inventors use indigo skills for inspirations that seem to 'come out of the blue'. 

Ajna chakra Gemstones (blue Stones) - Lapis lazuli, azurite, sodalite, quartz crystal, sapphire, indicolite tourmaline.

Ajna or third eye chakara activities – Its useful for imaginations, commanding, prediction, summonation.

Sahasrara (Sanskrit: सहस्रार, Sahasrāra) 

Sahsrara is one of the seventh primary chakra according to Hindu tantrism.

It may be represented by the multicolored petals, although its inner pericarp area is golden circle with triangle pointing downward. It is associated with knowledge and mind.

Sahsrara chakra or crown chakara is shown as having1000 multicolored patels above the head crown. In Hindu literature, it is known "the supreme center of contact with God". 

 

7th Chakra

Seventh Chakra  -  Sahasrara   - The crown Chakra  

Sahasrara (Sanskrit: सहस्रार, Sahasrāra, Thai: สหัสฺราระ) Crown Chakra (top of the head; 'soft spot' of a newborn)

Area of consciousness - Inner wisdom and the death of the body

Sahsrara is related to – Wisdom, knowledge and divinity, spirituality, thoughts, information’s , Inner and outer beauty, our connection of spirituality and bliss. Meditating on this point is said to bring about the siddhis, or occult powers, of transforming into the divine, and being able to do whatever one wishes.

Sahsrara or crown chakra location – Sahasrara is either located at the top of the head in that one area, or a little way above it.   

Yoga or exercise to heal sahsrara Chakra – Meditation, running.

Food that heal Muladhara - Since the Crown Chakra represents our spiritual connection to our surroundings, so this Chakra does not benefit from healing foods.

The Crown Chakra is more likely to benefit from breathing clean and fresh air and sunshine.

Violet color and its significance - Purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Purple is a good color to use in meditation.

 

Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty. Being the combination of red and blue, the warmest and coolest colors, purple is believed to be the ideal color. Most children love the color purple. Purple is the color most favored by artists. Thursday's color is purple.

Violet is the color of purpose. Violet is associated with the Crown chakra (This links individual and universal). 

Sahasrara chakra Gemstones (blue Stones) - Amethyst and diamond.

Sahasrara or third eye chakara activities – Meditating on this point is said to bring about the siddhis, or occult powers, of transforming into the divine, and being able to do whatever one wishes.
